CourseS001-1: Le Gastronomique Frugale
A collaborative cookery course for those who want to look good in the kitchen whilst not breaking the bank
Pre-course requirements:
None. A knowledge of basic cooking terms and a feel for ingredients would be advantageous

Course Description:
The tutor presents a guide to cooking recipes based on cost. For the pupose of this course 'frugal' is taken to mean costing 50 pence per portion in addition to the ingredients one already has in one's stock cupboard (see introduction). The purpose of the course is for students to eat well whilst keeping cost at a minimum. This is a collaborative course and students will be expected to add to its contents in order to achieve a pass.

Completion of the course and matriculation:
To be awarded a 'Pass' a student must cook one meal from any part of the course and serve it to a third-party
To be awarded a 'Merit' a student must cook three meals from different parts of the course and serve them to a third-party
To be awarded an 'Honours' a student must fulfill the criteria for a 'Merit' plus create their own frugal recipe for inclusion into the course.
